Internet pioneer James Booth joins Hot Cherry

One of the greatest Internet pioneers and individual contributors to new media, is joining Hot Cherry as Non-Executive Director to grow the company into the UK's leading online marketing agency.

James Booth was the former CEO and co-founder of digital marketing technology specialists Tangozebra which was bought by DoubleClick in 2007.

"Founder Harry Cymbler and his team are at the very top of their game. Hot Cherry challenges conventional marketing and PR approaches and underpins their remit with stunning results. This happens because Hot Cherry is exceptionally creative; hugely knowledgeable about the online world; and massively courageous. Brands need agencies like Hot Cherry." said Booth.

In 2003 New Media Age magazine nominated James as the most influential person in new media; two years later Campaign Magazine placed him fourth in a survey of the greatest Internet pioneers. In 2006 he was nominated at the New Media Age Awards for the greatest individual contribution to new media.

James co-founded Tangozebra in 1996 and is credited with inventing the N-XEC technology around which Tangozebra's pioneering approach to online delivery was built.

As CEO of Tangozebra, James grew the business into the leading provider of digital marketing solutions in Europe, with a market share of 70% for its rich media solutions.
