Hot Cherry guest speaker at this year's Futurising event

Hot Cherry's founder Harry Cymbler spoke at this year's Futurising, the creative graduates festival which acts as a one-stop shop of opportunities and information for students and graduates across the UK.

Harry's talk focused on how creative students and graduates alike could raise the profile of their work using online PR and social media strategies. Take a look.

A number of key points were highlighted:

1. Promote your work across TV, radio and print but, when it comes to online, if it don't spread it's dead.

2. A 'democratisation of creativity' exists - everyone has the tools (e.g. video mobile phone) to become a potential creative. There's more competition which means creatives are turning to online PR and social media to get their work known.

3. Different types of creativity will require different promotion across different types of social networks.

4. One key thing will distinguish one creative over another - a good idea.

5. Some ideas work better than others online (with examples).
