We're thrilled to announce that we've launched a new comedy archive featuring rare and exclusive photos from some of the Best of British comedians over the last two decades.
The collection, on image-sharing site Flickr features rare photos including never-before-seen shots of comedians like Little Britain's David Walliams and Matt Lucas, Simon Pegg, Robbie Coltrane, Julian Clary & Lee Evans and behind-the-scenes photos from shows like Coogan's Run featuring Steve Coogan.
Pozzitive, the multi-award winning comedy production company whose credits include French & Saunders, Not The Nine O'Clock News, Harry Enfield & Chums, The Paul & Pauline Calf Video Diaries, Spitting Image, Victoria Wood - As Seen On TV and The Young Ones, are behind the site using images from their sketch shows, sitcoms and programmes spanning 20 years.
David Tyler, who set up Pozzitive with Geoff Posner, said: "We've been fortunate to have worked on some of the most important shows in British comedy history and, over the years, we've collected a vast amount of exclusive videos and images which we decided to put online for the world to enjoy. We've been busy exploring our vaults to find the right videos for our YouTube channel which we launched earlier this year and photos to be part of the Flickr collection - a task that was somewhat daunting when you consider there are thousands to choose from. The collection has an interesting array of photographs which we'll continue to add to."
Earlier this year, Pozzitive hired us to roll out a digital strategy which has seen the launch of Pozzitive's Flickr, YouTube and Twitter channel.
